THE TASTE THAT
MATCHES MY STORY



I went to Germany in 1983 to dance and be a part of a singing trio of women. My best friend Jyl and I were working with a brilliant producer. We each had grandiose dreams of making it BIG under his leadership and guidance. We worked for 13-16 hour periods at a time.
Well, at some point during all this we had to eat...

THE STORY

I loved salads. I enjoyed making them, eating them. Jyl gave me a few pointers as to the foundations of a good salad dressing, and with that information, I ran with it! I would make the same simple dressing night after night - oil, vinegar, lemon, mustard, scallions…
Fast forward to NYC! While Germany didn’t work out, I left the country with a beautifully balanced recipe that I had mastered for weeks. I continued making it in the city, and began experimenting with different oils, vinegars, ingredients. I served this dressing at every dinner party, and was repeatedly told to bottle it. Wow, what encouragement!
Well, I decided to take that advice and venture out into bottling this dressing for everyone to enjoy. Over the years, it has been refined again and again to create a wonderfully-rich and splendid recipe. Coming from my passion for good food and good friends, I hope you will enjoy every savory and sweet flavor. Bon appetit!
